Position Summary:
The Micro Space Planning Analyst is responsible for all aspects of micro space planning, including planogram creation, visual merchandising standards, store support, web publishing, space optimization, and performance analysis. This role drives the planogram set timeline in partnership with the Floor Planning team, Space Planning Managers, and the Sr. Director of Merchandise Operations. The position supports the execution of in-store collateral placement, visual merchandising standards, and project management for related initiatives.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Planogram Management: Create and update merchandise planograms, ensuring alignment with merchandising standards, product assortments, and productivity metrics. Ensure compliance with the organization’s sales and inventory goals.
Quality Control: Execute quality control measures for planogram accuracy, including SKU assignments, product integrity (images and dimensions), and adherence to corporate standards.
Sales & Inventory Support: Contribute to sales, inventory, and profit objectives by developing, analyzing, and maintaining micro space and merchandise planogram rules and guidelines.
Data Analysis: Utilize Space Planning and CKB (JDA) tools to analyze space and SKU performance metrics (e.g., margin, sales). Provide actionable recommendations to the Merchandising department.
Store Support: Act as a point of contact for store-level planogram execution, resolving issues with a sense of urgency, and collaborating with other departments to find solutions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of JDA Space Planning and CKB software to drive product placement decisions. Experience with JDA Floor Planning is a plus.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience with JDA Space Planning and Category Management software.
2-4 years in retail operations, project management, or visual merchandising.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
Certifications: JDA certifications are a plus.
