Position Overview

The Assistant Personal Training Manager (APTM) plays a key role in driving personal training sales, client retention, and team performance. This position supports the Personal Training Manager in developing a team of trainers, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring members achieve their fitness goals while maximizing revenue opportunities.

• Total Compensation: $70,000–$100,000+ (Base + Commission + Bonus)

Key Responsibilities

• Drive personal training sales through consultations, promotions, and retention strategies.

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Personal Trainers.

• Set, track, and achieve monthly sales and performance goals.

• Ensure exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.

• Oversee daily operations related to personal training, ensuring compliance with company standards.

• Maintain a high-energy, competitive, and professional environment.

• Support implementation of company-wide fitness and sales initiatives.

Qualifications

• CPR Certification (required)

• Nationally recognized Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA, etc.)

• Sales and/or leadership experience in a fitness or performance-driven environment

• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets

• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills

• Ability to lead and adapt in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Regular physical activity required (lifting, squatting, spotting, bending, prolonged standing/walking).
