Position Summary

The Group Fitness Coordinator (GFC) is responsible for managing and developing the club’s group fitness program. This includes scheduling classes, hiring and mentoring instructors, ensuring program quality, and driving member engagement. The GFC also teaches classes as needed, leads community events, and serves as the liaison between club leadership and the instructor team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the group fitness class schedule to meet member needs and club goals

• Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified, certified group fitness instructors

• Mentor, motivate, and evaluate instructors to maintain consistent class quality and member experience

• Conduct regular instructor evaluations and provide feedback and coaching

• Ensure classes are taught in alignment with Crunch programming and safety standards

• Monitor class attendance and adjust programming accordingly to maximize participation

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all group fitness-related communication

• Promote group fitness offerings internally and externally to drive participation

• Lead and support club-wide and community fitness events

• Collaborate with the General Manager and Regional Group Fitness Director on strategic goals

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience teaching group fitness classes

• Prior leadership or coordinator experience preferred

• Current Group Fitness Certification (e.g., ACE, AFAA, NASM, etc.)

• CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)

• Strong organizational and leadership skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

• Ability to teach multiple formats a plus (HIIT, strength, cycle, yoga, etc.)

• High level of professionalism and ability to lead by example
