Position Summary

The Facility Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining gym equipment, ensuring facility cleanliness, and delivering an exceptional member experience. This position supervises local equipment technicians and custodians, performs preventive maintenance, manages vendors, and upholds high operational standards across multiple club locations.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Technical Operations

• Supervise and support local equipment technicians

• Perform and oversee scheduled preventive maintenance on all gym equipment (including massage chairs and hydro beds)

• Troubleshoot and repair various types of fitness equipment

• Manage and resolve service tickets using the Open Wrench system

• Maintain accurate inventory of tools and spare parts

• Conduct regular equipment inspections and complete checklists

• Implement creative solutions to reduce equipment downtime

• Provide staff training on ticketing procedures and equipment standards

Vendor & Team Management

• Oversee third-party service vendors for quality and timely service

• Hire, train, and develop local custodial team members

• Coordinate and supervise cleaning staff or vendors

• Ensure accountability and performance across all facility support roles

Cleanliness & Facility Standards

• Manage and enforce cleanliness standards throughout the facility

• Conduct regular audits and implement improvements to enhance member satisfaction

• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are well-stocked and functional

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in fitness equipment maintenance or facility cleaning

• At least 2 years of vendor management experience

• 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook

• Technical knowledge of fitness equipment, HVAC, and basic electrical systems

• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between multiple locations

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license

• Must pass a background check

• CPR certification (within 30 days of hire)

• Ability to lift over 40 lbs and work in an active gym setting

• Comfortable using computers for documentation and communication
