Position Summary
The Operations Manager ensures that all aspects of daily gym operations run smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing the front desk, maintenance, cleanliness, and member experience, while maintaining a strong culture of customer service and team accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Club Operations
Oversee daily operational activities, including opening/closing procedures, maintenance, and cleanliness standards
Ensure compliance with safety, emergency, and security procedures
Perform regular walk-throughs to inspect facility standards and address issues promptly
Work closely with the Maintenance and Janitorial staff to ensure timely repairs and upkeep
Team Leadership
Supervise, schedule, and train front desk and operations support staff
Conduct regular staff meetings and provide performance feedback
Maintain high team morale, professionalism, and alignment with Crunch values
Address employee concerns and coordinate staffing needs with the General Manager
Customer Service
Resolve member issues, complaints, and requests with professionalism and care
Ensure front desk team delivers excellent service and maintains accurate member data
Handle escalated service issues and follow up to ensure member satisfaction
Financial Oversight
Assist in managing club budgets and controlling operational expenses
Monitor inventory and order necessary supplies within approved budgets
Support the General Manager in payroll and financial reporting
Qualifications
2+ years of management or supervisory experience in fitness, retail, hospitality, or related industries
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and communication abilities
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Tech-savvy with basic proficiency in scheduling, POS, and CRM systems
High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
