Position Summary

The Zumba Instructor is responsible for leading high-energy, dance-based group fitness classes that are rooted in Latin and international rhythms. This role creates a fun, engaging atmosphere that motivates members to stay active, improve their health, and enjoy the fitness experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead safe and engaging Zumba classes for individuals of all fitness levels

• Choreograph routines that match the music style and intensity level of the class

• Encourage participants with enthusiasm, positivity, and clear instructions

• Offer modifications for beginners or participants with physical limitations

• Foster an inclusive and supportive class environment

• Maintain the energy and flow of the class throughout the session

• Ensure proper setup and cleanup of the studio or designated workout area

• Adhere to the group fitness schedule and arrive promptly for each session

• Promote upcoming fitness programs and member engagement initiatives

• Participate in staff meetings and trainings when required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Current Zumba Basic 1 License (Zumba® Instructor Certification)

• CPR/AED certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)

• Experience teaching Zumba or other group fitness formats (preferred)

• Excellent musicality, rhythm, and coordination

• Strong communication and motivational skills

• Passion for dance, music, and fitness

Preferred Skills

• Additional certifications (e.g., Zumba Toning, Aqua Zumba, Zumba Gold)

• Bilingual or multilingual ability (helpful in diverse member communities)

• Knowledge of other fitness modalities or group fitness styles
