Responsibilities of Diesel Technician

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines and components as a Diesel Technician.
• Inspect engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and electrical components for proper function.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to identify issues accurately as a Diesel Technician.
• Replace or repair faulty parts and perform preventive maintenance procedures.
• Follow safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines for all Diesel Technician repairs.
• Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and repair documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Stay current with new diesel technologies and repair techniques as a Diesel Technician.

Qualifications and Experience of Diesel Technician

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred for Diesel Technicians.
• Previous experience as a Diesel Technician or related mechanical role strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude essential for a Diesel Technician.
• Ability to lift heavy components and work in various conditions.
• ASE certification or equivalent credentials are a plus.
