Job Summary

The Custodian is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the facility, equipment, and surrounding areas. This includes routine maintenance tasks and deep cleaning duties to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for members and staff. The Custodian upholds all company policies and helps preserve the integrity of the Crunch brand.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the club, including equipment and surfaces

• Perform deep cleaning and reorganization of equipment and hard-to-reach areas

• Sanitize locker rooms daily, including toilets, urinals, showers, and lockers

• Dust and clean all flat surfaces throughout the facility

• Pick up and organize equipment, magazines, and clutter

• Vacuum and dust cardio and strength equipment

• Conduct minor equipment maintenance and repairs, if capable

• Follow daily cleaning schedule/checklist while remaining flexible to changing needs

• Log completion times for tasks

• Take ownership of designated cleaning areas

• Attend department meetings as scheduled

• Notify supervisor in advance if unable to work an assigned shift

• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear

• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

• Must be able to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds

• Physical work comprises more than 70% of job responsibilities

• May be exposed to hazards or physical risks, requiring adherence to safety protocols

• May involve moderate exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, loud noises, or extreme temperatures
